Want to Suggest a New Camp?

new special needs campsWe are excited that you are interested in starting a new special needs camp at Camp For All!

Here is some information you need before contacting Kurt Podeszwa, the Camp Director.
  • Camp For All collaborates with more than 56 other non-profits. We call them Partners. Our Partners serve those described in the Camp For All Mission.
  • 84% of our camps were Mission in 2009.
  • Some Non-Mission groups attend Camp For All for retreats, training etc.
  • Mission groups have priority.
  • Camp For All provides the totally barrier free site, food, facilities, universal programming and professional staff to run the programming. Partners bring the campers,  cabin counselors and medical staff as needed.
  • The Partner's Medical staff and their camp directors usually stay in the Health Center, which is in the heart of the main camp building.
  • Partners decide the criteria for their camps as regards age, challenge, including other family members or caregivers, counselor demography etc.  Camp For All and our current Partners can help you make these decisions for your first camp.
  • Partners recruit their own volunteers and decide how many will be in each cabin based on the ages and health challenges.  If you are new to camping, Camp For All can help you find the resources to recruit volunteers.
  • Camp For All is open January through the weekend before Thanksgiving .
  • Currently, the summer is totally booked, but we do have a wait list. The summer camps last a week.
  • The camps during the remainder of the year are usually Wednesdays to Fridays or Fridays to Sundays. There is some flexibility. Contact Kurt  kpodeszwa@campforall.org
  • There is a per person/per night fee to stay at Camp For All. This fee is less than 50% of the actual cost per person.  Camp For All raises funds for the remainder of the cost to keep that fee at a reasonable rate. Contact Kurt for current rates.  kpodeszwa@campforall.org

The Campsite

Camp For All is located in Texas between Houston and Austin near the scenic country town of Burton in Washington County. The camp property, purchased in 1996, was once part of a working ranch. The tranquil setting, lush landscape and rolling hills that encompass the property provide a perfect setting for enjoyment, recreation and healing.

  • We have 18 cabins and there are 14 beds in each cabin, two being bunk beds. There is a possibility to add two more beds.
  • There are four Retreat Cabins. Each one sleeps up to 12 in four different rooms with 2 bathrooms and a shared living room with kitchenette.
  • The current Partners are willing to share resources with you to help get your camp started.
